Hi, I'm André Scott.
I'm a website designer and front-end developer who has seen a lot of small business owners with the same problem.
They know they need a good website, but either aren’t confident with technology to muddle through on their own or they build a website themselves that isn’t working well for their business.
They know they want something simple and effective, though often they just suffer with a clunky, ugly website that doesn’t represent their company well on the internet.
I help them fix that.

Starting in editorial & print design, I’ve worked on magazines, newspapers, and in design agencies. I've been helping businesses & non-profits with websites since 2017.

Yes, and no. While the majority of your website will be completed on the day of the workshop, there is some prep work required to make it a smooth process. Which is why we provide you with worksheets and email education prior to the event.

I’m glad you asked. For this workshop, we’ll be using the hosted version of WordPress maintained by Automattic. They offer a free edition to get started, which uses a “your-company.wordpress.com” domain. This is sufficient for getting started quickly as hosting is included.
If you plan on connecting a domain, either one you already own or plan to purchase, expect to upgrade to their WordPress Starter package, currently at $5/mo. Additional options are available for more specific needs.
If, after our workshop, you decide you'd rather have a custom designed website that is professionally managed, I’d be happy to give you an estimate. These are built and maintained by Orbital Creative with high-performance managed hosting.

You do need brand collateral to join the first cohort on July 6th. However, you don't need professional copy or photos. This “Done-in-a-Day” service is specifically for those who don’t have the time to wait for a photographer, copywriter to collaborate with us.
